Cum Laude College of Engineering
Adam Krouk is a graduate with honors from the University of Florida. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering and a Mathematics minor from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is a Cum Laude graduate with a 3.57 GPA.
Today, he is a business analysis software developer at Covius, where he develops and maintains software solutions for corporate and billing operations business processes. While at Covius, Adam had full ownership of the Client Onboarding project, from inception to application go-live.
For three years Adam worked as a contractor at a startup cybersecurity firm, Cadence Cyber Defense (formerly Alaris TMC). Through setting up and maintaining an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Open Vulnerability Assessment Scanner (OpenVAS), he gained experience with Linux administration and security systems. Furthermore, Adam has expanded his knowledge with technical writing through the creation of documentation and articles pertaining to information security. While a student at UF, he was a founding member of the Game Developers association (now DevLUp) and studied abroad in Germany, becoming certified in German language proficiency.
Adam began his vocation as an engineer in the Engineering Magnet Honors Program at East Lake High School, of which he is a Magna Cum Laude graduate. While there, he was a member of East Lake Robotics Team 79 Krunch, wherein he served as the club’s Safety Captain and gained skills in leadership and teamwork. Adam reunited with the team in 2023 as a volunteer, assisting the team as a software mentor.
Beyond this, Adam has experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript and advanced mathematics through coursework taken for his degree. His senior project, Hammerhand SIEM, was overseen by Cadence Cyber Defense and the University of Florida. This project provided invaluable experience with Agile development, software systems, cloud environments, container orchestration, and more!
His goal is to continue gaining experience in software development and engineer to advance his career.
